You'll have to double check with an Audi parts shop to make sure the 1.8 and the 2.8 have the same rotors. Mark doesn't have Pagid pads for these yet though. His email address is: mark@germanautoparts.com

Adirondack Auto Brokers

leszek 11-16-1998, 10:28 AM The FAQ article is about this kit. According to my invoice I paid $130 per rotor and $495 for the MTM caliper bracket pair. This comes to $755. I believe the price of the kit went up recently to $795 after Sport Wheels joined Hoppen. Rich 11-17-1998, 03:43 PM Did I miss something or is this kit just for rotors and brackets? If it is I wouldn't call it inexpensive as I think Greedspeed has rotors for $99 a piece.
randall 11-17-1998, 08:48 PM i thought the key to better braking (excluding cooling for the moment) was to get more friction--different matterial pads, or increase surface area--bigger pads and rotors. If the pads remain the same, what is the benifit--just better cooling??

1996 a4 2.8 qm
ErikR 11-18-1998, 06:14 AM |
