My 1997 2.8QM has 17" BBS RX with 225/45 RE71s and H&R springs. since I installed those, the tires have dramatically been worn out from inner shoulder. I've changed tires once for that when I saw "inside stuff" of the tires. Is that typical? or I have a problem?

I've had the same problem running 235/40R17's on Projecktzwo 8.5"x 17" wheels. I don't know if it's alignment or an initial balancing problem. When I had the tires installed and balanced, they only put weights on the inside of the wheel because there is no lip on the outside. They told me that I didn't really need weights on the outside. However, when I found that the tires were worn on the inside (and also making loud noise), I had them rebalanced at the Audi dealership. They placed normal weights on the inner lip of the wheel, but also stick-on weights just inside the spokes on the outer part of the wheel. This has seemingly already cut down on the noise the tires were making, but I guess it'll be the next set of tires before I see if it's actually fixed the inner wear problem. I've always heard that once a pattern starts on a tire, it will continue to wear in that pattern, so I don't expect for these tires to start wearing normally again. I thought about having alignment done, but the car does not seem to pull to either side. I may have it done regardless, on my next set of tires.

Does your car drift left or right when you let go of the steering wheel while in motion?<br>Most cars need an alignment after modifying the suspension. Because of Tow/Camber adjustments you'll have tire wear if there isn't an alignment done.
