I've searched the archives on this one, but didn't find the answer I was looking for. So here is my question:
Does it damage the paint of the A4 to wash it with high pressure water?
positive and/or negative experiences/views are very much appreciated !
And, what about the wheels, is the high pressure bad for your brakes ?

tia

There is exactly this question and a reply in the archives (Oct. 20-23) just archived yesterday.
I agree with the reply: Just exactly how high is high pressure? Waterjets can cut bare metal, but I seriously doubt that there is a problem with the pressure of water in "touchless" car washes. I am following a policy of "touchless" cleaning interspersed with hand washing to keep mine clean. I hope I never have to regret that choice.
Clair (98.5 2.8 FWD MAN)

I've used a pressure washer on my vehicles and never had a problem. (1200 PSI). But you must be careful if you have a chip in the paint and hit it with the stream you will blast the paint off the car. You also must use a detergent that will not strip the wax. So be careful and go for it!
