Just took delivery of 1.8TQM and I'm concerned about the hardness of the paint. So far bird droppings and a casual brush with some stiff material have created scratches which I had to buff out. Is this normal? The car is silver.

I've taken a few paint dings (actually, little tiny craters) from truck-thrown pebbles in the past months that would have bounced harmlessly off my old Integra GS-R. I picked up a package of touch-up paint and varnish last week from my dealers and plan to fill in the dings later this month before waxing.<p>Otherwise, I haven't had any problems out of the ordinary with the paint.<p>J.Russ<br>Pelican blue Avant QMS
