Hi there,
I've just put a Panasonic CX-DP801 into my Audi A3 98. I've used an adaptor
lead which goes has three connectors on it. One to the Panasonic CD, one the
earth and the other to the DIN connector in the boot. Everything normally
plays ok, however sometimes when I turn the car or unit off and then turn
it back on again I get the error message CD0 LOAD in the head unit and then
have to piss around with the ignition and head unit to get the cd to
come back on again.
Has anyone seen this problem before ? I'm assuming there may be something
wrong with the cable but the guy I got it from says he thinks it's not
possible to fix this ?
If anything does anyone have the pinouts from the audi and panasonic side and
I can double check things ?
Thanks,
Roy

This resembles the message you get when you put a new magazine full of CDs into the unit (at least on the factory 6-disc changer). Once it reads all the cd's, then it goes on to play the first one. You can't do anything with it until it reads all the cd's.
So my suggestion for when this happens is to wait at least a minute and see if it clears itself before you do whatever it is you do to the ignition and head unit. The problem might clear itself.
Good luck.
