I'm Trying to help a friend of mine with his 98.5 1.8TQ. He wants to get a turbo timer but we can't figure out how to wire everything so the car alarm will let the engine run while armed without triggering during the timer countdown. Does anyone have a wiring schematic of the alarm cicuits? Is the alarm integrated with the ECU or is it a seperate unit? What does the alarm use to determine the engine is running?<ul><li><a href="http://www.wabe.net/silum/">Si-lum</a></li></ul>

Please give me information about why turbo timer is not necessary for the A4. Thanks

<br>The water cooled turbo has an electric water pump that keeps it cool after you shut off the engine. There was some discussion about this a month or two ago. A turbo timer is needed for turbos that aren't water cooled, but not for Audis MY86 and newer.<p>Todd W
