I'm looking at two different 4k quattro's for sale. I have their VIN numbers, and I have gotten a Carfax report for both cars. But I would like to see if either has ever had a insurance claim (ie: accidents). <p>I remember someone posting about a site/place that could do it, but it could just be Carfax that he was talking about. The Carfax reports shows a clean title for both, but nothing about insurance claims.<p>Matt

I got curious about these services about 6 months ago, and put in a bunch of VIN numbers from cars I used to own, some up to 20 years ago. Even though I didn't have any accidents with them, I'm sure there have been some by other owners. Every one came up completely clean. While a "salvage" title should come up, typical not-total accidents will not. One of our A4s could have $20,000 in repaired accident damage, but come up clean on these reports.<p>
