I am in the market for aftermarket wheels and I am considering the Ronal R-28 17". What my question is how is the performance and appearance of these wheels and are they worth the $1200. I am putting them on a silver '96 2.8qm. If anyone has these wheels and would offer some advice I would be most appreciative.
Thanks,
andrew

Very happy with them. Handling improves considerably but ride quality decreases. You have to be very, very careful when parking. Rims are 8.5" wide and imho too big for 225/45 tires.

I agree with David concerning tire width and rim width.
I like the looks of the R28s but I have not noticed an increase in performance or handling over the 16 inch 98.5 sports package set-up.
I personaly like the Dunlop 8000Es better than the P7000 SSs. My car felt more "sure footed" in high speed cornering with the 8000Es despite the narrower tires.
