Mark: I really wasn't throwing rocks at you or your friend the Dodge guy. The point of my post was that the Dodge guy who told you that any more than "an $800. profit for the Audi dealer on an A4 is too much" is looking at the situation from a<br>much different perspective. The domestic car cos. (and anymore, the Jap'ese) subsidize their dealers through holdback, floorplan subsidy, advertising allowance, etc.,etc. Audi is one of the few cos. doing business in America w/o these "back door" profits that the general public has no knowledge of. So, when I talk about a $1300.<br>markup on an A4, it's very different from a $1300.<br>markup on a Taurus.<br>

Sorry about being harsh. Do you mean that Audi doesn't add any of this stuff on?<br>No help with overhead or advertising? I didn't know that. Have you seen an actual factory invoice? It doesn't show these things?<p>Mark
