I was over at TAP yesterday talking to Dave about a Stage 1 or 2 chip for my A4 and he mentioned that he has a special right now on European headlamps for the A4: US$300.
I had the European Bosch headlamps on my old '91 200 and they worked wonders for the sorry stock lights. Has anyone had any experience with the European A4 headlamp upgrade?
I've seen them for $500. This sounds like a great deal.
Anyone else interested, Dave's phone number is (719)471-4103 here in Colorado Springs, CO.
Paul C
Silver 98.5 A4 tqms, thinkingaboutchipandlights.
What is the difference between the stock n the Euro headlights?
Bosch maintain the integrated foglights and are H1, H7. The Valeo lose the fogs and are H4.
Which ones are on special pricing?
Kirk

I recently put the Bosch lights on my car, they are great! If you can get them for $300, I'd do it before he changes his mind.

What makes them better? Is it a glass lens?
I assume the bulbs are better than stock also. True?
US headlamps low beams are weak. Bosch Euro's rock. They also have a slightly different light pattern with a sharp cutoff at the top.
I found a huge improvement with my '91 200. They use different bulbs and have clear side markers included.
PC
