Seems like I have a friend of a friend of a... who is an engineer in the Gyor, Hungary Audi plant, where the 1.8T engines and TTs are being manufactured. Supposedly wrote his Masters' thesis about this thing. I asked him questions regarding the chipping, tuning, max safe performance of the 1.8T. He is asking for my engine number. Anyone knows where it is? Anyone able to explain so my wife could find it over the phone?<p>Anyways, if you have a question you wanted to know about the 1.8T, post it here. I will compile the questions, send it to him and post everything I find out.<p>I will not send him any more engine numbers, but will do everything to get ranges of engine numbers or manufacture dates regarding possible differences in the 1.8T.<p>Shoot!

all tuners (see hoppenmotorsport.com, for example) agree that 220 is the limit.
