Default Any DIY on Removing Front Grill?

Hello!

As Title states, i'm in the process of blacking out my S-Line 4.2
But i couldn't find anything on the boards on how to remove the front grills for painting!

Any advice would be awesome, Thanks!!

there are 6 torx screws that need to be removed 2X top, 1 on each side, and 2X bottom of the grill.
I managed to get to all the screws with out removing the bumper bar, the bottom ones are a bit tricky thou.

Awesome!, Are all the screws visible looking directly at the front?, so I don't need to remove the bumper or anything.
I will give it a try tomorrow

Thanks!!

Yes, you will have access to all 6 if your hand is not too big. You will need some light to be able to see, and I will recommend a torx tool with 90 deg. angle, because it is difficult to access some of the screws with a long torx tool. No need to take of the bumper.
There have been threads about this on audiworld previous.
I replaced my s-line grill with a W12 one. Very happy with that choice. Good luck!

I was seriously thinking of picking up a 2012 S-Line grill to give our '07 an easy front end refresh, but seeing that the front bumper has to be removed, this mod looks waaaaay less attractive to me.

you have to remove the bumper to install it... there is no way around it... you will break everything and make it more expensive than it is worth if you didnt.

if a bumper removal is too much work you are not for modifying vehicles... either pay or leave it alone...

i never removed the bumper when i changed mine, what you on about?!

the grill just un clips and you put the new one in. easiest swap ever.

you need to lift up the cover along the front top of the engine bay where it lies above the grill, where the bonnet catch is.

that's it. simple.
