I unscrewed my Panasonic CD changer to take alook at the horizontal/vertivcal setting on it. When I putted it back and turned on the head unit to play CD the Mode button does not play the CD at all. I can eject the CD cartridge fine. The head unit can play tape and switch mode between tape and radio fine. Could it be that when I pulled the changer up out of its box then somehow I damaged the data cord that attached to the bottom. Thanks for any advice.<p>Chris T.<br>98.5 2.8MS

Pull the unit again (sigh!) and make sure that both ends of the cable are plugged in (I don't remember...does it plug into the CD player too or is it hardwired? Jeez! See what 4 months since installation will do for you!)<p>Steve

Sounds like the wire is plugged in, because your getting current to be able to eject the cartridge. Check the pins on the cd player's cable and make sure there's no damage. If that doesn't work--pray. BTW, why were you checking the setting? Do you have a lot of skipping?<br>Rob
