Just picked up a 2012 Audi A6 Prestige with Innovation package today from Audi of Chantilly, in NoVA.
I wasn't really wanting to get the Innovation package but I got a great deal because the dealer sold me the demo car. So it was either get this with stuff I wasn't really wanting, but its great to have...or wait 5 months (sigh)
I will try to get better pictures tomorrow.
Ice Metallic Silver
Innovation Package
19 Inch Sport Package
Bang & Olufsen
Sound System
Dark Brown Wood Inlays
I'm coming for a 2011 Lexus GS 350 AWD (was in total loss accident only after 6 months of ownership), to the car size is pretty much comparable. The Audi A6 is leaps and bounds ahead of the for Lexus; especially when it comes to handling. My only complaint so far is the feedback from steering wheel could be a bit better.
The 19" sports wheels do not take away from the ride compared to the 18" standard wheels. I really want to put all seasons on here, but I'm not sure if there's all seasons that fit my current rims.
The HUD is something I'm going to have to play around with a bit more. Other the speed limit showing up consistently, I really wish there was bit more information to put up there. I didn't feel that it was distracting at all though.
I was able to stream Pandora from my Epic 4G without any issues initially. But when I turned the car off and back on, the phone was still paired but I could not get audio from the phone nor could I get it to make phone calls via bluetooth. I had to reset my phone twice before I could get it to work again. I am not sure if this is my phone or the car lol.
Adaptive Cruise control works great! I can't remember if the car resumed by itself but I can see this coming in handy this horrible DC area traffic.
The B&O system was meh. When I was streaming audio via bluetooth, the sounds was great. However audi via Sirus lacked any discernible bass. Whoever drove the car before me had the bass to max, which disappointed because there no more room for growth there. I am not wanting the world to know I'm coming down street, but man am I hoping there's a way to increase the quality of sound.

Thanks!!
I really wanted the cold weather package lol. I was so ready to enjoy the heated steering wheel alas. I got things I wasn't even planning on getting, so the trade off is way better in my favor lol. Since my car was in total loss, I was driving my friends 1997 Chevy Caviler and I don't think I could've lasted any longer in that car and the thought of having to wait 5+ months for a car with aluminum trim and cold weather package, but no Innovation package, was a nightmare.
The car ride is stupid smooth! Seriously, have to watch my speed in this car, it goes without the slightest hesitation. I don't know if it just the new car high talking, but I'm going to be taking the scenic route to places over the next couple of weeks just to enjoy the ride!

Go to car settings and play with modes. Dynamic or custom individual then dial up the setting. It will get firm.

I have the cold weather and the 20" sport package. The factory must have made a run of highly optioned cars.

Man when I said this car was going to get me in trouble...I almost got a ticket on I-66 today. I was trying to pass a slower car and just when I was getting back into the right lane a trooper stopped me going 68 in a 55. Argh, I was so pissed because I self prophesied my own demise lol. After about 3 minutes of lecturing me, he let me go with a warning!! So I used adaptive cruise control for the rest of the trip and just settling in going the speed limit lol.
My issue now is bluetooth my Epic 4G. I'm not using the phone to stream audi anymore, I'm using my iPod touch and its working well. But for some reason my Epic 4G will not stay connect via bluetooth so that I can use it for making calls. I've had to disconnect and reconnect and restart my phone numerous times today. I've even removed the phone's profile completely from the car, but there's still issues. But now my iPod touch is acting a little crazy and it won't play audio via bluetooth, but MMI/AMI screen shows the song is playing. Sometimes when I switch the iPod as being connected through the AMI adaptor the music plays from the very first playlist on the iPod or it will play but it won't have any audio, but it shows the track is playing. Once I disconnect it from the AMI cable, it plays without any issues.

Congrats! There's car on the showroom floor with you build, but I couldn't get a as good a deal as I did, so I went with the Ice Metallic Silver. The white looks great though, you're going to love the car

Thanks for the heads up! I figured this out before I saw your post, but glad you knew where to point me. My cars salesman was playing with the settings last night, and I remember in the corner of my eye he put the drive mode on Individual Settings. I set it to dynamic and does make a substantial difference. I just have to get used to steering wheel, its still a bit light for the power the car puts out, but at higher speeds I can tell the difference.

I was initially bummed bout not having Cold Weather, Brushed Aluminum, and Black Headliner, but in the greater scheme of things, its something I can live without. How do you like your 20" sport package? I was nervous about the 19" wheels, but I can't complain, and I've been over some rough DC roads today, and they larger wheels really do give the car a more aggressive and sporty look.

Its been overcast in NoVa for the past week but today, after looking at my rims, I knew I need to wash Giselle for the first time. LOL, I know I'm not the only person who names my car!!
I think my first "mod" will be getting ceramic break pad!
It's kind of hard to appreciate the washing I gave this car; without a little sun to reflect off the gorgeous paint lol. I was trying to the washing in 1.5 hours but my neighbors kept coming over to ask about it and see this inside, so I spent a lot of time talking and less time washing, the whole ordeal took 3 hours lol.
Looks good! The silver looks good, classy..even in the dim light. Unreal how dirty the rims got, I can see why you want to get ceramics!

The rims were the most time consuming part of the process. I need to invest in a better hose (or a pressure washer)! I've done some reading on the board and its seems that brake dust is just a way of the land. I had the same issues with my '08 IS250 AWD, Lexus changed my break pads at no charge. I'm not going to push the issue with Audi though. From what I've read, Audi may replace the break pads with pads that produce less dust but they may also be lesser quality increasing breaking time. Stupid I-95 and its bumper to bumper traffic lol.
I also put an Amour All sealent on the rims, so it should fight dust build up and ease cleaning the next time around. I'm going to make an effort to wipe the rims down every three days, that is until its too effing cold outside lol.
Giselle is a beauty!
Thanks!! I get a lot head turns and compliments right now. I didn't think a silver car could be so beautiful, but she is!!!

hey man, Check out Sonax Full Effect wheel cleaner. Its the only thing i found that beats Audi's brake dust. for zero effort cleaning you will need to invest in a pressure washer. otherwise minor scrubbing is required.
Do your self a favor and save money and get the gallon jugs :) ithink the owner of detailers domain is a member here and regularly gives discounts to members!
Armor all is garbage. detailers domain also sells something called prima "wheel armor" and really repells the brake dust, alot better then armor all will

Thanks for heads up! I will try the tire repellant, because I'm already noticing some build up in the last two days. It may be I didn't get enough in the initial cleaning but I was really limited with a weak hose, but I was really going at it with the brush and microfiber towlesl!
Keeping theses wheels clean is going to the baine of my existance, simply because I get OCD on things like that lol. I've been looking at pressure washers instead of working today lol. I want to get an electric one because of limited space to safely store gasoline, but they don't seem nearly as reliable as gas ones from what I've read.
