Hello all,

I have searched. But have not found the answer.

I picked up a used 2008 A4 cabrio which has both bluetooth prep kit and the Ipod integration.

I set up a 30 gig video Ipod with 5 small play lists as part of my trouble shooting, with only 99 songs in each list.

When I plug in the ipod the unit appears to acknowledge the ipod is there, reads the tracks and infact begins to show evidence of playing (time counter rises) but there is NO SOUND! If I pick a different "CD" (7,8,9 etc) it says "Loading" briefly, begins the counter ticking but no sound!

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

Thank you very much,

Mike

Follow Up.

After checking with Vag-com and finding no issues I took the car in for a service check.

The "Music Bridge" or "Sound Bridge", can't recall which term he used, is missing in the rear.

There is a wire harness connection in the driver's side trunk for either a CD changer or Sat Radio module. If IPOD connector is installed there is a Bridge connector which feeds the left and right channels back to the front to the head unit.

Thus if you have SAT Radio, you can ALSO have IPOD connection (just like I hooked up in my RS6, still works great).

Instead of feeding the sound back through the inputs on the SAT radio module, they get connected directly to that wire harness.

The factor wire harness includes those two extra wires for this.

(should be fixed next week, waiting on the part, I'll be putting a few jumper wires in there later today in the meanwhile)
