Thinking of ordering this $2,500 option. Anyone have experience with it?
Adaptive cruise, lane assist, side assist, etc... Does ACC really feel like it is in control of the speed or do you have to hover over the brake anyway?

Anyone that relies on a computer is not to bright!
Everyone should have their foot by brake @ all times!

mine works great, I got the "Innovation" package on mine and the ACC and night vision is pretty cool

Tell that to the pilot of virtually any modern aircraft, especially advanced fighter jets.

As I keep having to explain to myself, it's an aid, not a replacement for your right foot.
I've been using mine well over a year and miss it takes away so much stress. I don't care if people cut in in front of me, at least my bp doesn't go up. (That doesn't mean I don't drive like a nut on occassion).
There are some foibles and quirks about it, but after a while you know when they will occur and modulate the throttle/brake as appropriate.
It will be interesting to see it work on the A6, to see if it's progressed.

Pre Sense has actually already alerted me to a rapidly stopping car in front of me when I was looking off to the left. It was very slick and I can see how it would be very useful and possibly life saving.
Interesting info about the the Google VP that had a similar situation with a Merc:

Speaking of bright, you meant "too" bright, right? Sorry, couldn't resist.
