Long story short, I ordered a 2012 Prestige A4 S-Line in early May, and though it will most likely be here any day, I changed my mind. With a 16 month old, and another little one on the way, the extra room won the day. This is my first Audi (German car, for that matter). I was driving Trailblazer SS before this, and now I have the benefit of that power, with the refined engineering of an Audi (and much less thirsty).
I love this car!

Excellent pics! Welcome to a new adventure... I'm sure you'll be grinning ear to ear everytime you drive it.

Looks nice, thanks for the pics.
Shame the dealer felt the need to tattoo their logo on the rear. Most dealers seem to have stopped that practice, but there are still a few holdouts.
Question on the wood trim:
For the more natural "close to the wood" finish (as opposed to the thick glossy coating you generally see with car interiors) are there more problems keeping it good as new looking, over time, with hot and cold cycles and humidity changes?
I've only ever had cars with the thick glossy clear-coat, and that has held up well, but I prefer the "closer to the wood" look so was wondering about longevity.

Agreed with regard to the "tattoo." I might be able to remove it on my own...
With regard to the wood trim, I'll have to say more to come. I have only had glossy wood finishes on other cars as well. It certainly looks sharp, in my opinion.

Nice... Very clean indeed!
At first I almost ordered the Glacier white (close to Ibis white) but ended up with Aviator blue since my dealer can find one (swapped) along with all the spec I wanted so I don't have to wait for the build.

Hi Dan, I'm currently looking into this same model in fact i'm waiting for the dealer to call me back trying to make a deal with them. Anyway I was looking to get the white one also.
How do you like it? do you regret getting white? I've never had a white car before only because i think it would be hard to maintain since you'll probably see every little thing on it. But white sticks out & it looks so good when its clean. Plus i'm a clean freak & wash my car every week lol.
I too have a 2yr old & another one on the way & currently have a 2009 FX35. How do you feel with your A6 comfortable enough?
I test drove it thus far & love it. Since you had yours for some time now do you still enjoy the ride/steering/handling?
thanks!

Just the opposite actually - white is the easiest color to maintain and then silver. All the darker colors are difficult with flat black being the absolute worse. Keep in mind I'm not discussing visual appeal but rather strictly from the detailing perspective.

You are very correct with your statement. When EXTREMELY dirty, that is when white looks the worst. I've had all dark color cars with the exception of one silver and it was by far the easiest to keep clean. Unless you are meticulous about the exterior of your car, lighter colors are definitely the way to go.

If you typically keep after your ride and wash it 1x week and order a white car, you will never ever look back. lol. Yes I love how a black car looks and those dark blues, grays & greens can also fantastic, that is of course till you drive it for a week and have to live with it always looking dirty. haha. YMMV but I alternate between white and silver. Super easy to maintain and really hides the dirt. Try it, I'm pretty sure you'll be thrilled with the low maintenance. FWIW, when Audi unveiled the A6 in Paris, it was Ibis White.

Dan759, I came across your post when I search for "white Audi A6" - I just ordered mine today (as luck would have it a car fitting my configuration is arriving at the port in two weeks) and will have it the first week of January - Ibis White, Nougat Brown, Prestige, Innovation, B&O, 20" Sport. Have been wanting an A6 for years and now it's time. Don't think I'm miss the Boxster at all. Hope to post pics soon.

I have a White/Nougat Prestige and tinting sets it apart nicely. I got the Audi rubber mats and that is about it. A beautiful color combination. Which wood did you select?
I got mine in Sept. Did you get much of a discount?

looks just like what I ordered... except I have the presitge.
I was worried the 18s would look weak, but they still look great!! I only chose to order them, as i'd rather buy my own summer wheels, instead of the Audi OEM 20s it comes with.
Should be here by the end of the month!

I also agree, If they are going to use someones car as a billboard, they should ask first. Also it should come with a price break, after all, advertising costs money :)

Picking up my car tomorrow. Same color combo as you! Never seen it in flesh and your pics helped a lot. Hope I like it in person too :) Did you ever upgrade the mats? Want to get all-weather mats. Not sure if they come in black or brown as well? Current ones (carpet) are black, correct?

Got mine and Love it! Even though I had a 2010 and difference is maybe about 25%, drive is much smoother, yet tighter. Also, the insides are SO much better...however the cup holder is freakin small. More soon...and overall LOVING it.

Sorry for the late reply on this -
I haven't actually purchased all weather mats. My boss traded in his 2010 A6 for an A7, and gave me his all weathers. They do not fit properly, but will get the job done this season. Eventually, I'll get the proper fit.

Have had my Ibis white A6 now for about 20 days (more or less). It is a fantastic car, and drives like I hoped it would. The MMI is still presenting some problems, some of which would be helped I am sure by reading the freaking manual. I love this car.

True, and I am sure the dealer would help me. It is about the only thing I could find fault with, and it's probably mine.
2012 Ibis White, 19" Sport Package, Prestige, Side Assist.
I do like the key, the side assist, and the sonar so I don't hit anything untoward as I back up. It would be nice if the sonar alarm sounded as I pulled in to low curbs.
