Some comments on the car. Although we've owned an '01 A6, '05 A6 and an '08 A6 we purchased a LS460 last year. After 15 months with the car we were back at Audi for reasons that should have been obvious before we bought the LS...

Overall the car is a beauty. I truly didn't appreciate that until I washed it yesterday. Audi was very deliberate in the design statement of this car and I hope they carry through some of the lines to future cars.

The last forced inducted engine I had was the '01 A6 with the 2.7T, so after multiple normally aspirated engines including the V8 in the LS its a change to go back to the A7's supercharged power plant. The engine is terrific, but in comfort mode it feels like a CVT where you push the peddle down and it holds the gear and the supercharger has a delayed effect.

The negatives I would highlight are the following

1) Road noise. We have the 19" all seasons and I'm surprised at the amount of road/wind noise coming into the cabin. Granted the LS was a vault, but I don't think its much quieter than our '08 A6

2) Electronic gremlins. I'm noticed that changing a setting in MMI (like HUD showing Nav data) doesn't always stay. Not sure why. Also the driver door wouldn't unlock this week although all the other doors unlocked. Nothing serious, but I suspect we will be seeing some MMI updates over the next couple years

3) I wish Audi would have had a button on the dash for ADS.

4) The wi-fi hotspot feature doesn't work unless the ignition is on. You can forget about using it while waiting for the spouse at the mall unless you leave the ignition on.

All in all very happy. We originally ordered Daytona Gray, but I have to say that the Phantom Black is great. Its more like a dark graphite gray than black.
