I recently purchased a 2011 A8L. It has the wifi symbol on the dash, but my dealer said that my model does not have the capability. There is no sim card slot behind the media door. Is this right?

I assume you live in the States. The 2011s do not have WiFi Hotspot. The lack of a sim slot would be proof of this. I specifically asked this to my dealer since I did not want to wait for a 2012 to get the WiFI unless I absolutely had to. Sorry.
