I would think there would be a compartment to specifically put my sunglasses in (like in my lexus). What gives? Also, does anyone know how to adjust the volume of the lady when I am inputting address information on the Nav? The voice of the Nav (while it is providing directions) is loud and clear, but when I input the letters, the repeat of such letters is barely audible.
Thanks for any responses!

There actually IS a compartment in the roof console, just above the mirror!
There's control in the MMI somewhere for the read back volume.

There is a compartment above or should i say in front of the rear view mirror, unfortunately its only available on prestige model A7s.
As for the volume you are referring to, it can be adjusted in mmi menu, look for sound sub-menu, its not the navigation volume its another one.
I can't quite remember it exactly right now, but you will know it when you see it

Oh, I didn't know that. Mine has it so I assumed that all A7s have it. Didn't now that a sunglass compartment was a feature of heightened prestige.

My sunglasses won't even fit into the overhead compartment, so I store it in the armrest one.

I've never been able to fit any sunglasses in any car thats had them. The only ones that seem to fit are wire frame style.
My wife's barely fit in a glovebox, lol!
In all seriousness though, I've never understood why someone would want to use the compartment anyway unless they are storing driving glasses that they only need for night time driving. I do believe all manufactures list this feature as an "eyeglass holder" not "sunglass".
I wear my sunglasses from the house to car and vice versa. I never leave them in the car. Why would I want to store them in my car? Especially in a roof mounted compartment where they would get hotter than hell? If I'm wearing them and nightfall sets, I put them in the arm rest where they fit easily and I wont forget to bring them in the house with me when I also take my iphone from the arm rest.

I have several pairs of sunglasses in several styles...a couple of which are wired frame style...and of course, I store those in the overhead eyeglass holder (my GTi) and never take them out of the car. I also have a pair in the door pocket, one in the glove compartment and the one that i am wearing in-and-out of the house usually goes in the center armrest.

GI aviator sunglasses always fit in the rearview mirror console compartments of any vehicle I've owned. ;)
