Anybody heard anything about a Sport model for the A8 like the D3 ? I've heard it might happen, primarily for customers who want the look of the S8, but not the petrol consumption.
My car is a grand old age of 1 tomorrow and I'm already thinking 3 years ahead ;-)

I have the Sport. The changes from standard A8 (US spec) are 5 spoke wheels - 20", quilted leather seats, and torque differential, which keeps proper torque at all wheels. Not very much else has changed. I enjoy it. I'm waiting for a sunny day so I can snap some pics to post.

I think he means the ground effects package for the A8. There is none for the D4 A8 yet since the S8 for the D4 has not been released. I think it will come out in the next year at which point I am sure you could order the "S8 Package" on a regular A8.

Very doubtful on that one. There was never a factory S8 ground effect pkg available for non-S D3s, so I wouldn't expect one for the D4 platform. It's something that you'd probably have to do after-market on your own.

I guess I never paid attention to that before. Thanks for the info.

ABT out of Germany has a tuning package, as well as an Aerodynamic package for the A8. The front bumper and side sills they offer are probably very close to how the new S8 will look. They also offer a funky quad exhaust.
I believe a member here from the UK actually has this kit on his car. It is probably as close as you can get to an 'S-line' look right now.
Audi has not previously made an S-line for the A8, but they have for the A4 and A6, which mimics the look of the S4 and S6, respectively.

yup, I'm the lunatic that has the kit on my car(apart from the side skirts).
I was just wondering whether they'd do a Sport version like the D3, which came out a couple of years after the SE first came out.
