View Full Version : Will S5 rims with their offset fit in new A6? joseaudi 06-23-2011, 11:03 PM Putting the correct size tire of course. Regina_TTS/Q5 06-25-2011, 07:08 AM 2012 A6: 19x8.5 ET45 2011 S5 (split 5-spoke): 19x8.5 ET 32 The S5 split 5-spoke will stick out an extra 13mm. Should be a nice look. joseaudi 06-25-2011, 10:12 PM Thanks. It looked nice on my 2010 s4. Can't wait. Traded it in today and car should arrive Tuesday! Regina_TTS/Q5 06-25-2011, 10:19 PM Luckeeee! Mine's still at port under port hold with the rest of the Canadian cars. :( joseaudi 07-03-2011, 10:47 PM so tried to put on the rims today and the front brake calipers were not cleared. Those things are huge! Too Bad, now have to sell these rims and tires. will post up pics of rear later. upload tool not working. Regina_TTS/Q5 07-04-2011, 05:28 AM That's unreal! I can't believe that the A6 brakes are that much bigger than 2010 S4 brakes! There must be something up with that S5 wheel design. Is it an OEM wheel or is it a replica? Since the A6 is offered with 17" and 18" wheel options it shocks me that your S5 wheels wouldn't fit. joseaudi 07-04-2011, 09:39 AM That's unreal! The concave design of the wheel was getting stuck on a bolt which would not let it turn at all. The rest of the caliper was practically touching inside of the rim. was waaaay to close. Check out the front brakes you'll see. joseaudi 07-06-2011, 07:49 AM Been trying for a couple days and it times out/error.. What about using 5-7mm worth of spacers? but thought it might stick out too much in front. Let me take it to my local shop and see what they think. Also makes me wonder if I should have waited for Quartz Grey. Did you have to do anything special to make them fit? Or just fight with them a bit? ;) joseaudi 07-13-2011, 11:21 AM Looks great! Mstyle76 09-17-2012, 03:30 AM got 3mm spacers to clear front brakes. Was that the only ones you needed? Just a 3mm spacer in the front? How about the back? Also any vibration? |
