Do you guys think having a color like Ipanema Brown would destroy the resale value?? Also, if anyone has any other photos/videos of exclusive colors, please share them.
Is the price of the exclusive paint colors $2500 or $6000? I seem to have seen both prices online, and I am uncertain which is correct.

I believe the $2500 is for one of Audi's "standard" exclusive colors whereas the $6k is for chosing ANY color you can come up with.

Well both of these you have shown here are bad to be sure.
But a lighter blue would look good on this car, and is missing from the standard lineup (too may silvers & grey variants). The Porsche blues offer a nice selection, you can see many of them here:

Do you still need real life pics of the Ipanema color? As I have ordered a 2011 Audi A7 s-line in Ipanema back in May

That Ipanema Brown looks like the most popular color of the Hyundai Santa Fe. Not a look I would want to emulate.

As the saying goes, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I happen to like that turquoisy blue color and don't care for the Ipanema Brown.
And my A7 (by choice)is Impala Beige, the color Audi should drop according to some people.
My (non-scientific) theory is that different people see colors differently. My wife of 41 years and I have regular disagreements about colors. A conversation may go like this:
- I will wear my green shirt for the restaurant tonight.
- You don't have a green shirt.
- Yes, I do.
- No, you don't! I should know, I do the laundry.
- Yes I do. Look, here it is.
- That shirt is blue.
- No, it is green.
- If you insist on calling that blue shirt green, fine!
At which point I quietly retreat, but wear the green shirt she calls blue to the restaurant. You have to pick your battles.

I choose the cars - wife choose the colors inside and outside. So far it's work for me for the last 28 yrs. ;)

We have a little different system. On my car, I choose it all but make sure the passanger seat is comfortable. On hers, I gently guide her towards the better, technically more advanced vehicles but she picks the color and the interior. We both have our must have options. For me seat memory, for her heated seats.

Both colors are quite striking and you'd certainly notice them rolling down the street ;)
Just lease the car, then you don't have any concerns with future re-sale value.

I don't think it would hurt the value, in fact it might increase it. My concern would be that it would limit the resale market for your car, because you'd have to find those few that like the paint job. As opposed to going with Black, which has a broader appeal.
But I love the idea of it. I had an Imola S4 Wagon once, that was a cool looking car.

Here are some pics I found on the net of a couple of the Audi Exclusive colors on the A7.
First is this just awful blue color that made me want to gouge my eyes out in horror: (images courtesy of audiblog.nl)

The 2500K is for paint they already have the formula for but excludes Lambo. Those colors are not available on any Audi/VW (or other product in the line)even though Audi owns Lambo.
Colors that have to be made to the customer spces those are 6000K. This also, excludes Liquid Mercury a Bentley color and costs 33000K. Yes you read that correctly $33,000.00.

Ipanema brown is $6000. Although it has been described as baby poop brown, I have never had so many compliments on a color. It will look fantastic on the A7.http://forums.audiworld.com/picture.php?albumid=6036&pictureid=224962

BTW, anyone know why the Ipanema Brown is 6k extra instead of the standard 2.5k for Audi Exclusive paints?

The $2500 is for standard paints - not colors that aren't even available.
Ipanema brown is color that was never offered on any spec car the past, at least in the U.S. for Audi
The $2500 charge is more reasonable, as is was offered in the past on some Audi, but it was discontinued, or just not offered on that model car that you want.

I want to chime in for the price of the exclusive color prices. If it is one of the exclusive colors Audi used in their stands before, and ipanema was used in the Frankfurt auto show in 2010 if I am not mistaken, price should be 2500 euros which comes to about 3300 dollars with today's exhange rate. You guys are lucky, here in Turkey we pay 130% special vehicle tax on cars so for me it came to about 6000euros. OUCH...

I have seriously considered ordering mine in Sepang Blue, over Glacier White, which I love. I'm also wondering if I can order the 20" RS4 style wheels that are available in Europe, here in the US. I like the standard 10 double spoke, but the double 7 spoke on Sepang Blue with Prestige is my dream order!
Also, my dealer was informing me that I might be able to order the '13MY as soon as May, so I might hold off my late March order to wait for a '13.

UberS5...Not really sure about your signature, but I hope you did not have to pay an Audi Exclusive fee for your Glacier White A7-that is a standard color for the model (albeit with a metallic paint fee).

Which rims are these? are these the "20-inch parallel-spoke “Star” design wheels with 265/35-series performance tires" that are going to be available on the S7?
