I contacted Stasis yesterday and they confirmed that they plan to release an A7 ECU this summer. If interested, I would urge you to contact them via their website and spur them on. If it is like the last A6 3.0T tune, it should gain the A7 about 56 HP and 36 ft-lbs. They claim that the outgoing A6 0-60 MPH time drops from 5.9 to 5.0 seconds and is fully warrantied by Stasis if the Audi dealer is Stasis franchised and trained. This would put the new A7's acceleration in the high 4 second range. Hello S7 performance...if you also open up the exhaust. This would be a year ahead of the official Audi S7 release. Performance will be on par with the $80K Jaguar XFR with a 500HP V8 but with better looks and way better gas mileage.

I pulled the trigger yesterday and now have on order a Phantom Black / Nougat Brown A7 Prestige for a July delivery. Got the $2K Audi loyalty rebate and will now be selling my tasty A5 S-Line. Ordered many options but not the overpriced B&O and Innovation packages. The 20" sport package was a must along with the driver assist pack and LED headlights.

That's good news. I have my Audi dealer under firm instructions to let me know when Stasis have an ECU upgrade available for my A7. Does anyone know how much the A6 upgrade cost?

Stasis said that Audi USA has contacted them also to expedite the A7 tune in order to help fill a niche until the S7 arrives one year from now. BMW and MB both offer V8 motors in this segment so this would be an good solution for now. The Stasis/Audi V6 solution is elegant since the weight stays low and the cost is many $$ thousands less. I would expect the S7 to start at $80K+ and add 200 lbs more over the A7. (unless they start adding more aluminum parts). This would be just amazing to have the looks of the A7 and sub 5 second acceleration. Since I am getting the S-Line bumpers, I will be swapping the lower rear valence and adding a quad exhaust to round out the package along with tasteful window tints. Can't wait.

I was told by my Audi dealer this morning, that the ECU upgrade is expected to come out in 6-8 weeks.

So Statis is like Mugen for Honda?

Regarding the LED headlight package. Do those lights looke different/better at night? Or, do you look the same but just have better life?

Thanks!

I don't know if you can get Abt parts over there, but I had my A8 done last year by them... looks really nice.

It took a while to get the rear valence and front splitter, but it looks good (I have a couple of pics in my profile).

I'll probably go with the A6 kit when my wifes car arrives in a couple of months.

I like the look of the ABT A7 rear valence and rectangular exhaust tips and will likely order them from the USA importer. Got to buy them anyway from Audi and these look more unique and closer to the original A7 concept. I will call them this week. Thanks for the info and idea!

Stasis still not committing to any specific timeline, but are actively working the ECU upgrade

also noted... the ABT rear skirt/exhaust tips requires a "retrofit" of the Non S-line rear bumper?

Anyone know why? (90% of the cars i've seen or have heard ordered were S-Line)

"The fitting of the ABT rear skirt set by vehicles with S-line exterieur package is only possible after refitting the standard rear skirt."

Because it was made to fit the regular rear skirt and not the one you get with the S-line package. They look totally different.

Yes, in the US, most are getting the S-line because it is bundled in the Prestige package. They are optioned differently in Europe.

Additionally, I was quoted a price of $3,200 for the ABT rear skirt and 4 end pipes from the importer. So a new bumper and an expensive ABT package...Two strikes against this option!

Yes guys the ECU tune is in the works and final stages. I've got one of the 2nd A7's sold down here in San Antonio and have been in direct contact with their engineer folks/mgr on multiple occasions and its confirmed that they are working on it. They asked to use my car as a test vehicle for the project and I as ready to ship it to them when Audi (came thru with what more support) so as of about 2-3 weeks ago they have been given enough support that it may not be needed likely now. No time frames but I'll let you know when I hear more from them. Probably expect late summer/early fall. Problem is the ECU is based on the A6 but sounds to have some differences that are slowing them down I guess in maping and optimizing it. Also remember the new A6 just came out over here what a month ago so that likely has slowed them too. Added to that it sounds like they are doing parallel development for exhaust and brakes (why cause when I contacted them and we started talking I asked about doing all THREE to my car!) so that slows things too.

But believe me it will be worth the wait and they are very aware of the demand especially until the S7 arrives.

Well, I've got another one of the A7s in San Antonio, and planning on doing the ECU update (maybe, exhaust, too). Where are you planning to have it installed? Cavender? Austin?

Hey babydoc...Austin whenever Stasis guys get things finalized and set things up when they finish development. Just biding my time. :)
