Jim,<br>I've read some of your posts and thought you may be able to provide me with some info. My dealer informed me that my A4 was built on the 12th of this month. He also said I should have the car by or before Christmas. In your experience how long does it usually take a vehicle to arrive in port after it is built. <br>BTW I have the VIN. How do I get the dealer in order to check which vehicles have been allocated to the dealer. I have a good relationship with my dealer and don't want to jepordize this by making him think I checking up. It more out of curiosity then anything else. <br> Thanks

Once the car is finished being built, it has both a "request no." and a V.I.N. no., either of which you can use to check its status. If production of your car was completed on Nov. 12, late Dec. is a good guesstimate of delivery. If you live in the midwest or on the West Coast, that might be a little optimistic. Let's hope that your car sails through the port of entry with no fixes/mods. necessary.
