I like both though for different reasons. Let's talk about the exterior design, the new CLS is very attractive from the front and back but it's side profile looks a bit of a mess to me, the A7 is attractive from every angle other than the rear which though not bad it's their best effort, as for the interior design of each, the CLS is extremely stylist, probably Mercedes best design in recent years IMO and is somewhere I could quite happily spend many a traffic jam in, the A7 is equally as stylist and if anything a bit more airy, of the two I prefer Audi's approach but both are very good and far better than anything coming out of Munich at the moment.

Though it's the A7 which is the most practical, it's hatch design allows much better excess to the boot for more ackward items like child buggies and the like so from a family perspective it's the winner in my opinion.

Yes, if it wasn't for Mercedes pioneering the look, we probably would not have the A7. I love the old CLS, and the new CLS which I saw at an auto show is quite attractive also. But I think Audi looks better inside and out.

Anyone drive both?

the difference will be the price.. CLS will lease for $800-$1000, A7's are $950-$1400.

I didn't think the CLS350 was coming to the USA. I thought it was strictly the CLS550...

That is correct, we will only get the V8 for the US market.
