Default Newer A6 engines have Timing belt or chain?

2007 and up A6 - 3.2 ( belt or chain?)
2009 and up A6 - 3.0T Supercharged ( belt or chain? )
2008 and up A6 - 4.2 V8 ( belt or chain?)

I'm assuming any other AUDI I get in those years with those motors are all the same (Q5, Q7, A8 etc ? )

BTW I did search this topic here as well as online..so if the info is already out there I must be really bad as searching..
I am in the market for a newer Audi ( not brand new )

Thanks

All Models Listed above have a TIMING CHAIN. All A6 C6 Audis have a timing chain to be exact.

(The only C6 that might have a timing belt is the Euro model 2005 2.7TDI)

Yes the S6 is also a Timing Chain, happy shopping! you won't have to worry about a timing belt change.

I hope you know the 04 A6 has a timing belt and a whole timing belt tensioning system that needs to be replaced, amongst a ton of other parts. If it's under 75k do not wait for 75k to change it, failures as early as 68-70k, 60-65k is the safe timing to change it.
