Does anyone know why there are two SD slots (SD1 and SD2) on the A8? Logic tells me it will allow for 2 occupants to keep their music on separate SD cards without downloading to the hard drive. I currently keep an older iPod Touch in the center armrest and hope for honest valets. If all that music can be put on an SD card I would feel a little more secure
Thanks for any help

Okay, I think I have it figured out.
Let me preface this by saying I am an Apple user: MacBook Pro, iPod, etc. If you can get your music onto an SD card, you can insert it into either SD slot and select it as a source, just the same as from an iPod plugged into the center console. I tried this and all the music was there, but not organized in the way my iPod does, i.e. album, genre, artist, etc.
If you download the SD card into the Jukebox, it will sort the music by album, artist and genre, but not you playlists. It appears the only album art that will transfer is that you attach to an ablum on your own; non of my iTunes-generated album art shows up. art.
In order to get music [U]from[U] the MacBook [U]to[U] the SD card, I used a 16 gig SD. Since my computer doesn't have an SD card slot, II attached a memory card reader ($20 from Best Buys) via USB cable. Next, I opened the Finder, selected my music library (in my case it was under The section called Places (usually appears as "Jane Doe. Next, I selected Music, then iTunes, then iTunes Music. By now I was in the fourth column.
You should be seeing all of your albums in folders. Another hint, avoid selecting non-music folders that might be in that column; it takes up valuable space. After you select everything you want to copy, drag it over to the SD card under the Devices section. It will take more than an hour to copy 16 gig of music.
If this works, insert the SD card into the SD1 slot in the car, choose Media and wait for it to load. You will see the Import prompt and will be good to go. Again, the download time will be about an hour.
The lessons I learned from various postings is that mp3, mp4 and m4a files work with no problem. I think some peope try to use the edit/copy function in iTunes rather than the Finder.
I hope this helps someone.
