Looks decent, in typical Audi fashion. Wish they'd jazz up the D-pillar area though. We've had the same half circle roofline since the late 90's. This is where the car falls short and looks plain. Otherwise, the interior looks great and I hope it helps Audi's bottom line.

As was the case with the B8 A4 the hood/front fender area looks like a step back to me. Too many panel gaps and creases up there, plus a too wide look when viewed from the front. Also, a funny headlight/LED shape. The rear of this car is much better. I do not mind the evolutionary design; to me Mercedes is ruining their prestige image hopping from one design concept to another so abruptly. I am glad Audi is not.

The standard alloy wheels are 16 or 17 inches in diameter!!!!! Are they nuts

The 16" or 17" will prolly be offered in countries other than the US. I saw nothing about the "L" version of the C7 A6. The C6 A^ L is pretty nifty.

I felt the same way about the A7, well that was until I actually seen it in the dealers, then it blew me away with it's beauty. And considering closely this looks to that car I am positive you will love it. Not only is the front of the car very impressive and aggressive at the same time but the interior of the A7 is truly incredible, which I might said is also identical the this car.

Audi have a real winner in this car, the MLP chassis first rate and so are it's engines.

Hard to say what is the ugliest: the interior or the exterior !

The interior looks like a Buick and the wood looks like it belongs to a "Town and Country" !

The LED headlights looks weird.

The retractable LCD screen is a stupid idea, since you want it out 99% of the time and it looks like an "add-on" when out. They probably stole the idea from Cadillac !

Glad I have a A4 B8 !

I guess the AudiWorld folks are not too excited about the new A6 at this time. 2 weeks and there are only half a dozen posts.

What gives...

Car looks great in person. Definitely a big improvement. The headlights look wicked.

There are more posts on the BMW forums about this car than here. I came here looking for some feed back. Well, back to Bimmerfest.

Maybe so but at least here or on other Audi forums you will get a more reasonable opinions instead of the usual 'Audi is chap and VW in a suit' comments that always follow any post relating to Audi.

There certainly is some of that, but I think you would be surprised at how many BMW owners look to Audi as their direct comparable. I'm hard pressed to find any comments on these Audi forums. I guess the Audi forums don't have as much traffic or they are in their infancy compared to the Bimmer forums.

I don't think we as in Audi forums are in our infancy compared to BMW ones, look at the number of members here they are as big as almost anywhere including most BMW forums. It's just that we are probably more mature in mindset (another word for educated LOL) and haven't the same youth enthusiasm for motorcars as they have, we see them as a mode of transport first and a playful toy there after, placing quality, fit, finish, design, style and engineering paramount.

I don't agree that most BMW owners view Audi as their direct competitor, well maybe the S and RS versions they do but most definitely look down on ordinary Audis as inferior and nothing more than a posh Volkswagen. They definitely don't get the concept of quattro as something that should be in a performance car, in their minds it's the reserve of SUVs and nothing else.

Why they are so obsessed with discussing Audi products escapes me as we here don't even have a section for discussing other brands which just show how little interest BMW is to us.

I am a big ski racing fan. Audi is a big sponser of the FIS, the international ski federation. The other day I was watching an exhibition from Munich and there was a gorgeous A7 down on display in the middle of the spectators. It was onscreen as each racer crossed the finish line. It was beautiful...the same taupe colour from the pics in the reviews I have seen.

it looks very nice. I am more interested in the Avant version. Any confirmation if they are bringing that over to North America this time around? I am worried that they might not bring it for the same reasons that they curtailed the A4 Avant variants.

I am hoping that Audi will bring over some of the A6 variants that we did not get in the C6 platform (S6 Avant, Allroad, TDI, etc.). We might have a better chance to get these now due to Audi's increasing sales in the US.

an A6 Avant 3.0 TDI would be perfect, but I am not holding my breath..

Sorry, but Audi has told dealers there will be no 2012 a6 avant for the U.S.

That could change, but you might never see an a6 avant again here.

exact opposite of the new A8, beautiful front, ugly rear.
