So, I'm at that point, A4Q, Sport, leather, bose, roof, and sprot seats. Dealer is only offering $1,000 of retail, in both Fargo, ND and Minneapolis. Any thoughts? I'm I about to get ripped off???

Consider the dealer's "offer" to be a starting point. Why don't you decide what *you'd* like to spend and make an offer? If the dealer knows you're ready to buy and knows what you're willing to spend, then there's a basis for negotiation. It's a lot better to enter the negotiation from your starting point than from the dealer's.
This is the approach I took, and I was very pleasantly surprised when one of the local dealers accepted my offer and placed my order. Of course, it's gonna be a long wait until I see the merchandise....

E-mail a dozen or so Audi dealers with web sites and e-mail addresses.
Tell them what you want and request a dollar or % over-invoice bid (or state that
you are willling to pay $XXX over invoice). You local dealers may match their
offers, or you will be saving enough to pay for an out-of-town trip to pick up your car.

Do they have any 98's left on the lot? I just picked up a 98 model with a $4750 (CDN) discount. I'm sure they'd be willing to negotiate more on 98's since they would be trying to get rid of them.
