Just wondering if anybody has experienced a slight hesitation when starting from a stop position. My car is an automatic with triptronic and sports mode.It happens in all 3 modes. It is almost like it bogs out for split second. Took it to dealer and they said they put it on the computer and found nothing out of the ordinary. Have 9000 km on it. Otherwise love the car. People are always pointing and staring. I beginning to get paranoid.

Have the dealer flash the ECM back to factory settings. It did wonders for mine when it was shifting in odd ways (due primarily to the car 'learning' the way I drive).

Yes I've noticed this as well. I thought maybe it had to do with the quattro locking in? There is definitly a split second hesitation when starting off with a fast acceleration. I too have the tip transmission.

In the B7 A4's they advised using "S" and turning the ESC off to get quickest, smoothest starts. Might help.

I experience a slight hesitation with my Tiptronic S5 only when accelerating slowly from a stop in Auto mode. The car hesitates just before it shifts gear from 1st to 2nd. It does not do this in Dynamic mode or if I punch the gas pedal. I think Audi, in an effort to improve gas mileage, programmed the car to shift into 2nd gear way too early which may be why it behaves this way.
