First of all, I am so happy that I found this site. It has proven to be a wealth of information for us.

We ordered a Q7 TDI almost 2 weeks ago and are now thinking about doing European Delivery for it. When I contacted my sales rep, he said that ge didn't think it would be a problem, but we would have to reorder the car and start back from scratch. He admitted that he had never done an ED and only one guy from his dealership had. My question is: Has anyone on here ordered a car and been able to change it to ED? We would hate to lose the 2 weeks that we have already spent waiting (out of the 4 that we were quoted). I also have seen the posts that they are ending the program for 2010 models. I am already getting impatient waiting as I am so excited for this purchase! Any advice people can give will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
Amy

I would say there is a 99% chance you will have to start all over. I only say this from our experience 3 years ago, my understanding is your ED cars go through a different ordering process than one that is being purchased directly to the dealer. Also, All we did was change our dates to pick up our Q7 a few weeks later and we had to start all over.

That being said. it is totally worth it to start over (just 2 weeks) and do European Delivery.......it is a trip of a lifetime and one that you will not regret. Let us know how it turns out.

Congratulation, Amy!
I suggest read our ED WIKI (http://wiki.audiworld.com/index.php/EDFAQ), and our two sticky threads - Stab at an ED FAQ (http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2718608) and
Tips for Audi European Delivery (http://forums.audiworld.com/showthread.php?t=2718578).
Start planning your ED - what country you would like to visit, where to drop off your car. Post here, if you have a question. Few of us, who done this before, will be very happy to help you.
One more time - congratulation and Good Luck to you!
