Unfortunately I drew the short straw and got stuck working today although the market does close at 1:00 ! The only positive thing was the highway was empty so I could really cruise in to NYC. A happy 99' silver A4 1.8T QMS owner but sad buyside equity trader. At least I have this web site to surf to pass the time!

Okay you def win on having the worst day being that I still have a food hangover from yesterday's feast I don't think I could handle giving customer service with a smile for people like that. Jim best of luck wih your day. Maybe someday people won't look at test drives as an amusement ride!

do you mean 2/99??? Will it be a 99.5 what color and features? Let me tell you it is worth the wait for an A4. I waited 4 months for mine and am extremely happy with the car. Best of luck

I had to work also but I took the train. I don't want to take a chance with the gridlock this afternoon especially since it will be made up of all the out of town shoppers who don't know how to drive in the city.
BTW, don't bother your IS department today, they don't want to work either.
cj 98 1.8TMS parked far from the maddening crowd

Right I mean 02/99,It's early.December production car silver/black 1.8tqm-loaded.$29,700 msrp. Will be a 1999 I do not think it will be worth waiting for the 1999.5.I expect a price increase with the 1999.5.Don't you? Also maybe a better discount on the 1999.I have been a good customer of the Audi dealer {HARPERS AUDI} and they ordered without a deposit.

Safely parked in Jersey City Parking Garage by me! I don't trust the guys in NYC garages!! Didn't want to deal with the infrequent NJ train schedule at 1:30.

Excellent choice I have a silver 1.8T QMS and the car is a dream. Had a Votex spoiler but on the back which looks fantastic. I agree on the 99.5 too long a wait and I am sure an increase in price. Well good luck and I am sure you are going to love it
I have been thinking about a spoiler, any other modifications? How many miles have you driven and how about price paid.I currently drive a Infiniti I-30 traded my '88 quattro 90 for.I like the V-6 power but the car handles horrible.

I got a pretty good deal 28,800 before taxes that included quattro, bose cd radio, conveince package, cold weather package, sports package, and the spoiler (paint and labor). My family had bought another A4 recently from the dealer so they really cut me what I think was a great deal. I got the car in late Oct and have about 1050 miles on it. The car takes corners like it is on rails and has sufficient power at least for me. You are going to love it trust me. Don't think I am going to really bother with any other mods like chips although I am getting a good radar detector because the car moves and you don't realize how fast you are going.

I have to work today because Canadians celebrate Thanksgiving in October... You know, before the snow is up to the roofs and we can't get out of the house until spring :)
TGB

How long did it take you to get your car? I think I am getting a run around. I ordered my A4 Nov. 4 and the dealer said It would be here in January, then he called to tell me I'm getting a 99.5 and he still says, January. Now I've heard they are not due in the states until February. Am I wrong?
Thanks for your reply.

No delay here. My dealer traded an A6 he had for my A4 and a player to be named later. I snapped it up less than an hour after it got off the truck. Lucky thing too because while I was putting down my deposit two other people came in and wanted it. Another salesman took one of them for a drive in my future car (made me cringe). My salesman said that the next day two more people also wanted to buy it.
The 1.8T with the 5-speed manual are definitely hard to find right now. My dealer has many 2.8s and a few 1.8 TIPs that he can't move, but he is backordered on 1.8T manuals.
The only downside for me is that I had to settle for Melange rather than Santorin Blue or Cactus green. If I ordered it though it would have been Feb. before I got my A4.
