To me, that slogan rings very hollow when they pretty much did nothing to the engine which was already trailing everything in the market. They squeezed another 22 hp out of it, but the essentially unchanged torque rating of 328 lb-ft is some 60-120 lb-ft lower than the competition (S550, 750i, LS460, M56). The fuel economy improvement is nice but it's likely all due to the new 8-speed automatic. This is unacceptable for a brand new model to trail 2-3 year old competitors at launch in the power department.

The interior is nice. I like the front end of the model with more conventional Audi headlight cluster but not the one with the radical headlight design. It's too gimmicky looking.

Also, I'm not sure how the dainty (I was going to choose a different word, but, you know ... PC) weirdo shifter knob is "sporty" ... doesn't really convey "sports car" to me ...
