My S8 came completely loaded but does not have electric rear window passenger sunshades.The back window is electric but not the 2 side windows.Is that normal because in the owners book it does show that it can be electric.

Do you have the extended leather package? The one in our family does and I do not believe the sunshades are electric on the side windows.

Looked online for options and it appears maybe just the W12 has those.

I still have my OEM windshield in my '04 A8L. I have had three stone chips repaired on it though. I've had my '01 Beetle windshield replaced with no problems. Just before I bought my A8, I had the windshield replaced in my '87 Audi 5000 with no problem. They all have the same mounting scheme.

Have you tried Griot's Garage Glass Cleaning Clay and Fine Glass Polish on your windshield? It's a shame to replace a windshield that isn't cracked. You know about Murphy's Law.....Replace the windshied for scratches and spots and soon the new one will take a stone hit from a truck without mud flaps!
