I mistakenly posted this in the wrong sub-forum but:
I want to know if there are All Season tires that I can put on a 2008-2009 S8. I understand all of the arguments for having dedicated snow tires but I still want to go all seasons if possible. I cannot find A/S in the stock 255/35/20. I have seen a suggestion that I can mount 275/35/20 on the stock wheels which means I could put michelin or pirelli A/S Ultra high perf on. What would be the downside of going to 275's?
Thanks

There is little down side as long as they don't rub anywhere. There is acutally more upside. The greater width puts a bit more traction on the road adn looks better on these cars as IMO the 255 is a bit undersized for a car this large.

I'm running 19inch factory rims and just upgraded to 275/40/19s tires with no problems.

The Mich Pilot A/S sports are very highly rated All Season tire. Suggest you visit tirerack.com if you haven't already.

Cheers,
