Airbag Replacement and lock repair
My 93 S4 had some documentation concerning when the airbag should be replaced but my 96 does not have this info and the previous owner wasn't aware of it being replaced. Also the lock system seems tired and fails to lock the trunk/gas tank about 30% of the time. I would imagine this to be an expensive repair but should i contact a lock smith or an audi mechanic? thanks.

The not locking is likely a vacuum pump/reservoir issue, nothing to do with a locksmith.
Air bags were good for 10 years but I *think* they extended that to 15.
