Just wondering if there is any other hardware that is not in the headlight assembly for the adaptive functions or anything else in the Xenons? I do have Vagcom if it is needed. Thanks, MGH

Everything electrical is different. I'm unsure where the balasts are stored within the B8 (either in the assembly or outside) for the HIDs.

I've seen people do this conversion, but I doubt it's a simple bolt on. Some rewiring is most likely involved.

ballasts on the B8 A5 headlamps are screwed to the back of the headlamp assembly

If you're talking about an '08 you should probably check on the B7 forum as there will likely be more people with knowledge of that generation of A4s over there.

Sorry, I was thinking that the '08 was the first year of the B8 platform, that is what Audi world resource says, maybe only in Europe?
