Hi guys. Sadly after a long and clean driving history i got into a small accident today. The accident was my fault. The damage was a broken driver side headlight, fog light, bent fender, tiny bit of the hood, bumper, grille chrome trim, 1 front parking sensor. (somehow the rearview camera stopped working, i guess due to the front sensor being out of order). I filed a claim with my insurance and they said that rates wouldn't be going up until my policy is up for renewal in december. Does anyone have any experience with first accidents and how much the rates usually go up by? I know there is no precise number, but anything from your previous history will do. I am in New York City with Progressive insurance. (Accident forgiveness won't apply to me since i've been with them for a couple of month only).

Sorry about your accident. I hope your insurance doesn't go up too much.
I can tell your from experience (I won't say how), the broken parking sensor faults the whole system so your backup camera won't work until it's been fixed.
