3 Weeks old and I start in the morning at 25DegC. Reverse out of drive way onto road. Stopped and get out. Clean off mildew 10 mins. Take shower 20 mins. Get in - START - Won't Fire. Fire- runs at 300 rpm or so. STOP - Wait 10 mins. START OK. 2 Days later, same thing happens. Fuel OK. Immobiliser OK. WHY?? Computer confused?? Can't turn off engine in the first minute?? Fast idle problem??
Chris--
There was some discussion of this in the more distant archives--I'm not qualified to explain it for you mechanically, but you're not the only one. Something about "modern engines not designed to be started/stopped so quickly" or some kind of crap like that. Modern life includes lots of starts and stops, and these cars should be able to handle it!
See if you can find out if there was a resolution, way back in the archives.
By telling you that I've never experienced the problem, I'm guaranteeing myself problems down the road, but I wanted to ask if it was a 1.8T / 2.8?

Rich
'98 2.8Q sport
