I have read through all the forums here and others to determine the latest view on the steering wheel vibration problem which occurrs around 65mph. It appears that the general consensus is this is a control arm issue and they need to be replaced. I have a new '09 Avant and I'm wondering how prevelant the vibration really is? There is a subtle vibration on my wheel around 65mph but its not visible to the eye, only to the touch. Also, the passenger seat when empty does shutter/virbate around the same time.

Bottom line is I can't tell if I have the issue or it's just in my head from reading all the posts. Definitely subtle, but noticable if looking for it.

Any updates on your experience with the same isse are appreciated. Thankss

I have the issue, it's definitely visible in the wheel. I haven't taken any action yet.

I have the subtle vibration thats only visible to the eye. So its there if looking for it, but not something like as extreme as others have claimed.

The only other thing I am curious about: People who have replaced their OEM rims/tires with aftermarket, are they still having the vibration issue?
