Alright - I just bought a 09 A4 Auto Turbo. I have nothing bad to say about it yet one BIG question. When the car downshifts from 2nd gear to 1st gear there is a good startling jerk/thump/clunk. It happens in D,S,and M. I brought it back to the dealer. After tests they said it returned zero errors and that all 09 A4s do it! I took there word for it yet its still bothering me - it just does not seem right - I cannot imagine your average Audi owner putting up with it. I have driven a v8 ford explorer, 3 series BMW, 4.4 X5, Acura TL etc..and I have never experienced anything like. I am tempted to bring it to the service shop of a dealer I did NOT buy it from to see what they have to say. Anyone have an insight? Is this par for the course of this transmission?
