Default New Build -took 3 years of picking at it . Engine Noise

Hey Gents, I finally have the S back on the road after a long time but work and Divorce! Have kept me busy most of the time. There is a ticking or clicking noise coming from the top of the motor and I've STF and read about out injectors being loud but if I unplug them from one to five there is no Change until I get to five, everything quiet’s down to a nice purr.

1: Is there something else that could be wrong other than a noisy injector???
2: Also how hard or easy should I be running this motor, all the seals and bearings are new, along with the valves, head gasket bolts etc?
3: The 044 Motorsport Drop In Fuel Pump is it always going to be this loud? It sounds like i have an air compressor in the trunk leaking air.

I have a few more Issues I’m going to need some help on , I’ve STF but I have not been here in a while and I’m not loving the new web page!
Thanks In advance ,M4rty

Welcommen (back). Switch your viewing preferences to "Threaded Mode".

Also, all the cool kids went to another forum, q_u_a_t_t_r_oworld.com (without the underscores).

This forum is still useful. Although the thread bump feature makes it hard to move on to new topics. The old ones keep being "discovered" and brought to the front page.

The FAQ is still there, as long as you view it in "Threaded Mode". Otherwise, it is 22 pages.
