I am picking up my Q5 this Friday. Anything I need to know and double-check before I drive the car off the lot.

Bring your tire gauge.

A few things:

1. Make sure the Emergency Key Fob is in the glovebox, mine was not.
2. Make sure you have the tool kit, its under the plastic bin that is under the flip up floor in the rear.
3. Test the tailgate mounted switch for opening the hatch, it's just above the license plate. Some people have had issues with that.
4. Test the rear seat flip-down levers, the ones you get at from the rear, again, others have had issues.
5. As mentioned above, check your tire pressure before leaving the lot. Don't just check the TPMS, manually check them individually with a gauge.

Anyone else have suggestions?

Why bring one? The pump is included with the car and has a presure indicator on it.

Dont mess with that pump. A couple of the Q7 guys used them as a regular pump/gauge... they dont last. One even blew itself to pieces. Save it for when you actually have an emergency and need to blow up the spare.

How many of the key fobs do I get besides the emergency key fob?

2. Make sure you have the tool kit, its under the plastic bin that is under the flip up floor in the rear.

Besides the tool kit, is the Audi First Aid Kit included with every car.

You get 2 key fob's besides the emergency one.
No first aid kit provided. (I picked a nice one up at at the store for $15)
You should also get the crossbars for the roof rails and a cargo net.
Have fun!

No cargo net for me in New York. Did others get it? Or is it not a US thing?

I think the suggestion was to purchase it (along with the crossbars) - Audi no longer gives a cargo net as standard like they used to with other models (before the Q5 was launched).

However mine did come with the crossbars and i am certain that quite a few forum members took delivery with the crossbars as a standard option.

I believe in the US, the crossbars are std but the cargo net isn't.

Mine came with the crossbars AND the cargo divider, the net-like device that separates the rear cargo area from the front, in case you have luggage piled high or a dog back there. It was included with mine, pretty sure it's standard equipment for US models. Not to be confused with the cargo net for holding things on the floor of the cargo area.

Definitely get a tire gauge, don't expect to use the included pump. I would think it'd be a little ungainly getting that out and taking it around to each tire. Much easier with a handheld digital one. I keep one in the glovebox.

No first aid kit for me. I also bought a nice one at Costco, stays in the back all the time.

What with First Aid kit on German cars?
If you pick up your BMW in Munich you get one, but if you not take with you in airplane - you will never see your first aid kit again.

I got that as well (the cargo divider), but thought they threw it in and was not std equipment.

Where would be a good site to get parts for the Q5?
Example, cargo net, Audi first aid kits and etc.

You guys have been great in providing valuable Q5 info.

Thanks!

Some parts are not listed under the Q5, eg. cargo net that attaches to the floor is under S4 and first aid kit and LED flashlight is under something else.

Curious what you mean by the cargo divider...I received the privacy cover that conceals the cargo area, but not the divider (http://www.iamaudi.com/audi-q5-dog-gate/) as I think of it. The privacy cover will soon be accustomed to my basement.

Yes, that link you included is the cargo divider that came with my Q5. I believe it is standard equipment.
