I talked to the guy who originally changed the setting for me, and he said he has never had that happen to him. I am guessing that they installed an update that restored them to factory settings. I hope it doesn't happen again though. I'm getting it redone tomorrow.

There will then be two different listings, one for the Nav. Database Version and one for the Software Version. If you don't mind, I'd like to know what both are in yours.

They don't (can't) charge anything for it. Many will just ask for a 6 pack of beer. My guy asked for nothing, so I "tipped" him some $$. It's whatever you feel is appropriate. And yes, I drive to his house. You have to make sure the person you find has the proper cable, the CAD cable. Most I found had the old cable. I only found one in my area with the correct cable for the Q5.

Fitz, the dealership will always change the settings back to where they should be. When you change them, it shows as an error and thus audi will always correct it.
