View Full Version : Picked up Ibis White S-Line Yesterday...
GolfGL 07-29-2009, 08:31 AM Some pics below... sorry for the lighting and quality... blame my cell and rain!
Couple of things I wasn't aware of... air compressor in the back, need to remove subwoofer before spare can be taken out. Surprised that Audi didn't include a cargo net, tool box, or first aid kit. Also happy with ADS, significant difference between the modes.
Traffic in Toronto is non-existent!!! Big surprise there, I thought Sirius covered Toronto, but the closest traffic incidents I see are from NY.
Still getting used to voice recognition... but quite useful when it works.
Loads of space front and back... coming from an A3, this feels huge to me! :-)

GolfGL 07-29-2009, 08:41 AM Forgot to add... props to Luis at Audi Mississauga. Seriously these guys make the whole car buying experience a stress-free affair. I've dealt with other Audi dealerships in Toronto and by far I've consistently enjoyed my dealings with this dealership including the service dept!
Congrats! Beautiful car, love the new style wheels on the S-line! Mine came with a cargo net, it's quite nice actually,(I'm in Halifax) perhaps you should check with your dealer?
flogsta 07-29-2009, 09:13 AM whoa! congrats. looks great. I have to agree, the rims look cool. can not compete with that starting tomorrow :-) enjoy the ride.
noservice 07-29-2009, 10:06 AM Congrats!!!

I'm dealing with Luis as well, he told me someone picked up a White S-Line yesterday, now I know who. I'm picking up my Black S-Line today :)
My experience has been good too. No issues at all.
GolfGL 07-29-2009, 01:09 PM Thanks everyone!!!
Jusforfun 07-29-2009, 02:59 PM Congrats by 3. Looks like all the Q5s in Canada came on the same boat.
Congrats !!!
My Q5 is scheduled for early Sept pickup.
GolfGL 07-29-2009, 04:56 PM Okay found the toolkit finally! Buried underneath the plastic box thingie. Glad I found it now instead of looking for it during an emergency.
petethecanuck 07-29-2009, 04:59 PM Gorgeous pics!!!
I think there's a first aid kit somewhere too.. i recall seeing it in the demo.
congrats mate!
GolfGL 07-29-2009, 05:12 PM Nice! I think he mentioned he was delivering a black S-Line today! Enjoy!
Looks awesome! Thanks for the pictures. I definitely wouldn't mind to see some more! Now I know what mine would look like.
davidprok 07-29-2009, 09:00 PM Congratulations GolfGL
flogsta 07-31-2009, 07:52 AM I am going to hijack the thread. We waited for the same ship to arrive *haha* The wait is finally over for me too. Picked up my black/cinnamon brown. Will post pictures of exterior and interior soon once I get out of the car.
GolfGL 07-31-2009, 10:31 AM Awesome man, can't wait to see the pics!
GolfGL 07-31-2009, 10:50 AM Couple of more pics with a GLK
My buddy at work is beside himself the last 2 days... he honestly wishes he had the patience to wait for the Q5 instead of springing for the GLK. He had considered both before the purchase but couldn't wait. The key pluses for him - B&O, ADS, voice-control on the nav, interior finish and the pano roof. Just to torture him a bit more, I pointed out the impossibly small gaps between the body panels lol...

palware 07-31-2009, 11:38 AM Its clearly a matter of taste and prior relationsship to cars but I think the Q5 is way more beautiful. I think I could bought the GLK if the Q5 didnt exist though.
Great pictures. Congrats. I love the white but I didnt dare to order it (its a Norwegian thing to not stick out to much). I have ordered a S-Line with Daytona Grey.
flogsta 08-03-2009, 05:57 PM nothing spectacular... here are some simple pictures of the interior (taken in a hurry)... won't bother with the exterior (brilliant black).

GolfGL 08-04-2009, 08:56 AM Thanks DrV... is yours a cargo net to partition the hatch area from the passenger compartment or is it a net to hook up to the 4 tie-downs located on the cargo base? I got the partition thingy but not the other net.
TIME89 08-04-2009, 09:12 AM Congratulations GolfGL!
Let me get this straight - you just pick up your Q5 and you already have you license plates?
Take 2 month in California to get them after you get your new car home from dealership.
Is AFEX stand for something?
Thanks DrV... is yours a cargo net to partition the hatch area from the passenger compartment or is it a net to hook up to the 4 tie-downs located on the cargo base? I got the partition thingy but not the other net.
It's the partition net that came with my Q5.
The other nets are easy to find at auto parts stores or you can try VW too. I use one I got with a VW in the past :)
