View Full Version : 2010s? Really what's the deal?

I've searched through the forum and on the net for anything I can find on the 2010 Audi A6. Surprisingly, there is not much information.

I know about the 3G MMI and one source several months ago mentioned that 2010 would receive some kind of sport package, but I know there is another separate sport package for purchase on the 2010.

I have a pretty good opportunity on an '09, but am hesitating. Due to lack of information it is difficult to make an informed decision. Anyone that knows what is new, I would really appreciate it.

I'm in the same position as you. Have you thought about which engine? I test drove the 3.0T and it drives better than the 3.2 so I was trying to do some research on that as well.

Danbury Audi (near me here in CT) is offering a 2009 A6 Premium Plus for $42.5k, a substantial discount from sticker of $51.5k. Haven't seen a better deal than this, though am still for a new Avant...

One thing I haven't seen on the new models is the air suspension, which I have now and love.

Anyway, here's the link: (no affiliation, blah, blah)

Definitely the 3.0T. I am considering the lease. With Audi loyalty, I am at 47,700 (54,875 msrp) for a P+ w/NAV and cold weather. The payment would be 600/mo + tax for 10k.

There are deals to be had on 09s especially if owner loyalty comes into play. I have the order guide for MY10, still no pricing. I have a Prestige and cold weather Avant Phantom black on gray if anyone is looking. One of the few in the country.

Here is some information:

I am in the same boat, by the way. The 2009 model does not seem to have the options I want, but I am not sure if the 2010 model will have them either. In addition, it looks like the 2010 model isn't going to have the 3.0 T engine, which, if true, would be a deal breaker for me. I also cannot understand why the current 09 A6 model does not have Audi Drive Select, which is available on 09 A4.

LOL thanks for that :) A couple of forum members have orders on 2010s with the 3.0T engine. Drive Select would be interesting.

I'm going forward with the 09. The new MMI and whatever other improvements come in the '10 would be nice, but I am really after the 3.0T. And you can negotiate such good deals right now on '09 b/c of low money factor/apr and loyalty/marketing money.

Where did you hear aboun no 3.0T for 2010? That's ridiculous and not true. Options are the same so far, sport package is available on both, just new mmi for 2010.

Audi Loyalty? is that if you are a prior Audi owner?

Ooops, sorry, I meant to say 2011 or whenever the new A6 comes out.

Actually, it is right here:

Engine spec wise Audi is expected to carry over the 3.2 FSI producing 255-hp and the 4.2 FSI producing 350-hp.

There is no mention of the current engine, which is 3.0 T.

That was published March 26, 2008...Long time ago bud. That was before the 3.0T was out. I'm sure Audi wouldn't develop this engine, then only put it in the car for 1-2 years.

Also, it says
Engine spec wise Audi is expected to carry over the 3.2 FSI producing 255-hp and the 4.2 FSI producing 350-hp. The Audi S6 is expected to see a bump in power to 450-hp from the current 435-hp.
keyword "expected."
There is nothing in that article which is in any way confirmed by Audi.

Oh, I see. Well, if that is the case, that is great news.

It did sound strange to me, but I thought, you know, who knows, anything can happen. Phew!
