Hey everybody. First time posting here, though I've been lingering for months. I really like the new Audis and am looking to purchase one hopefully next year.

I've got a question about the seats in the S4. Does anybody know if you'll be able to order it in the US without the S4 sport seats? They're nice, but a little unnecessary for a daily driver. I think we can order an S6 with A6 seats. I'm just curious if Audi will offer the same for the upcoming S4.

Thanks.

The S4 has never had an option for non-sport seats. The new B8 S4 does not come with Recaro seats of the B6/B7 S4 (they are listed as S4 sport seats which may or may not be identical to a4 sport front seats), but I doubt that a performance model will be offered with regular A4 seats which don't offer much lateral support.

The seats in the S4 are identical to the seats in the S5.

I think I found the answer myself.

Reading through a 2010 order quide, there is a regular A6 seat option for the S6, but no A4 seat option for the S4. That kind of sucks. I would prefer the A4 seats as I probably won't be doing any "racing". They just look a little overkill for my taste.

you don't have to pick 2 tone. regular is alcantera, upgrade is the full leather. Sit in an S5, it is the same seat. headrest is formed into the chair

I don't think he is referring to the seat upholstery or pattern, but rather to the contoured shape of sport seats with extra side bolstering. I imagine that for someone with a large frame, sport seats might not be as comfortable.

I am not sure about the US but over here if you don't order the "super sports seats" as referred by the local importer then you'll get the regular sports seats which are identical to those in the A4 3.2q.

I have a 3.2q now and have a S4 on order and I can tell you that in terms of comfort that are both excellent. Another point that may not apply to the US car is that the the SP seats comes with Nappa leather whereas the regular seat does not.

Right, I'm reffering to the shape of the seat. The wife isn't fond of the "sporty" looking seat. She'd prefer a regular seat with a headrest and all.
