Default Is it the "michelin man"? ..(boost leak)

I sprung a leak today somehow. Didn't even happen under hard acceleration. Got partial boost leak at WOT. I can hear it coming from down by the intercooler. I haven't got under it or really got a chance to get a real good look at anything yet(night time). Car drives fine and sounds normal until you stand on it. Then sounds and feels like all my wonderful boost blows out underneath drivers side. My car is a 92 spec. 93, 97K miles and all stock still. You guys here seem to know just about everything there is to know about these cars. So to save me some time tomorrow does anybody have any tips. Is it the problematic "michelin man" that I hear about. Yes I really need to get some silicone hoses sometime I know. But right now I hope a new clamp will do. Any of your infinite wisdom will be appreciated.

Could be the michelin manhose, or as simple as the end of a hose has popped off.
Time to look, if you don't see a hose popped off it's best to pressure test the
system.

Sounds like the michelin man hose, if a hose had popped off it would happen all the time
not limited to WOT.

I have a good used michelin man hose if you need it.

Hay thanks. I can't get under the car today to get a good look. Gonna take it to a friends tomorrow who has a lift and every tool ever needed. If the hose is ripped I might take you up on that offer. Ill let you know.

Anybody know a good replacement for the michelin man? Something kinda inexpensive.

Default Stock or silicone. Those are your best choices.

Sounds like a small split in the MM hose which opens up under full boost.

Yep, that's what it was. My "MM" was a little ripped. Well time for an upgrade. Who's got the best price on silicone?
