From an long search in the archives I can see this issue has been discussed plenty but I can't find a good answer. I have the original OEM Ipod connector on my 2002 TTR with the Bose Concert II. I am ready to purchase an iPhone G3 S. Will the OEM connector be able to connect and play music through this iPhone? From what I read, it seems like the only limitation is that it will not charge this model of iPhone. I can live with that. I just want to know if the iPhone will play music through this connector, and if so, what limitations are there with playlists, etc.?

Yes, it will work. Like you said you just won't be able to charge it.

Yep, you'll have to create playlists on your iPhone.

It also won't display any artist or song information.

I have one in my car too, wish it worked better.
